ABOUT AMERICA 250:
Throughout 2026, the United States will celebrate our 250th birthday, marking a historic milestone in our nation's journey. As part of this yearlong celebration, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum will join other institutions across the country in commemorating America's semiquincentennial with a variety of special events and programs. APOLLO 11 FLAG EXHIBIT
For the month of July only, the museum will have the US flag that flew over the US Capitol while Apollo 11 was on the Moon on public display.
Explore! Series
To celebrate America's vast contributions in science, technology, and exploration, the museum will be hosting Explore! Series dates on the first Saturday of each month.
AMERICA 250 STAMP
Only available in 2026, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum has a special commemorative stamp available for Ohio History Connection and National Park passports!
America 250 Tours
For 2026, the museum has created two new specialized tours that take a deeper dive into Armstrong's contributions to history and the State of Ohio.

AIR & SPACE TRAIL
From the first powered flight to the first footsteps on the Moon, Ohio has shaped the course of aviation and space exploration. The America 250 Ohio Air & Space Trail invites travelers to experience that remarkable legacy by visiting more than 30 museums, historic sites, and aviation landmarks that tell the stories of the innovators, engineers, pilots, and astronauts who changed the world. As one of the trail's signature destinations, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum offers an unforgettable journey through America's greatest achievements in flight and space exploration.
INNOVATION TRAIL
Discover the spirit of innovation that helped shape America on the America 250-Ohio Innovation Trail, a statewide journey highlighting the inventors, pioneers, and visionaries whose ideas changed the world. As a featured stop on the trail, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum invites visitors to explore the remarkable story of hometown hero Neil Armstrong and Ohio's lasting contributions to aviation, space exploration, and STEM innovation. From groundbreaking achievements that took humanity to the Moon to the next generation of explorers and engineers, the Innovation Trail offers an inspiring adventure through the places where history, and future, take flight.
