VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

The Armstrong Air & Space Museum hosts visitors from throughout the world.  It also offers a comprehensive educational program for all age groups that uses scientific and historical topics to encourage learning and curiosity. This programming makes the museum a popular destination for schools, summer camps, scouts and adult groups.

In order to achieve these missions, the museum engages volunteers to assist the professional staff in greeting visitors, answering telephones, assisting with tour groups and special events, helping in the museum store and more. We invite you to become a member of the Apollo Corps and share in the museum’s mission.

As a member of the Apollo Corps, the goal is to match your interests with the museum’s needs. We want you to find the right opportunity to help, when and where you can. Here are just a few examples:

  • Museum Tour Guide (Docent)
  • Greeter
  • Telephone Receptionist
  • Museum Store Helper
  • Office Assistance
  • School Groups
  • Special Events
  • Science Demonstrations
  • Landscape Volunteer
  • Community Ambassador
  • and more

The museum needs volunteers on weekdays and weekends. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at 419-738-8811 or info@armstrongmuseum.org. We would be glad to have you as part of the museum team.
