One Giant Leap Day

Wed, 02/29/2012

We are here, 24/7/365, or is it 366?

Once every four years, February adds an extra day.  We call it leap day, but why do we leap?  Who came up with this system we take for granted?  Why does the earth need a 366th day?  Adults can discover the calendar anomoly that led us to add one day everfy four years.

Kids can take this day literally too.  Special contests will record the longest, highest, and most leaps.
