The Armstrong Air & Space Museum welcomes school groups of all ages. The museum meets requirements in both social studies and science curriculum standards at a number of grade levels.

Interactive Programs
COST: Additional $1.00 per student
Interactive programs consist mostly of 30-minute multimedia presentations and discussions about space. Programs can be tailored to meet specific standards upon request, but the museum has the following available:

SKY STORIES: Students learn about mythology surrounding the sky, constellations, and the North Star.
OUR SOLAR SYSTEM: Students learn about the objects that currently inhabit our solar system.
Workshops
COST: Additional $2.00 per student
Workshops will be held in the classroom space at the museum for approximately one hour. Students will participate in hands-on activities which can also be tailored according to teachers’ requests. Contact the education specialist for more information.

Space Station Armstrong
COST: Additional $3.00 per student
Space Station Armstrong is a realistic recreation of a space station, space shuttle, and mission control crew. The program is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th classes in Auglaize County. Students will apply for and serve specific roles based on real life occupations. The class must work together to successfully dock the shuttle with the space station and launch its payload satallite. Available on Mondays throughout the school year.

Some groups enjoy scavenger hunts while at the museum. You may print these activities and bring them with you to the museum.
Other scavenger hunts, activity sheets, and coloring pages are available upon request.

The museum is owned by the State of Ohio, is part of the Ohio Historical Society’s statewide system of historic sites and museums, and is operated by the local Armstrong Air and Space Museum Association. Neil Armstrong has never been involved in the management of the museum nor benefited from it in any way.
